Presentation: How Vanguard thinks about the future of intermediated retail investing
In this presentation, Mark Fitzgerald, Head of Product Specialists, Product Management for Vanguard Europe will look at two key trends that we think will shape retail investing in the future. The first is the rise of multi-asset investing as a low-cost, efficient way to service retail clients. The second is the growing importance of Environmental, Social and Governance issues, and what this really means for investors looking to take a more sustainable approach to their investments.
Mark joined Vanguard in 2013 and previously he spent eight years at BlackRock-BGI as MD, European Head of iShares’ Portfolio Management and Index Research Group. At BGI, he headed Pooled Equity Index Portfolio Management and total-return swaps. He was a quantitative equity and bond PM at Deutsche AM and Northern Trust, holding a BA Hons, Business Studies and International Finance, South Bank University, London. Mark also holds the Level 4 Certificate in ESG Investing – CFA UK.
Vanguard is a different kind of investment company. It was founded in the United States in 1975 on a simple but revolutionary idea: that an investment company should manage its funds solely in the interests of its clients.
This is a philosophy that has helped millions of people around the world to achieve their goals with low-cost, uncomplicated investments.
