Marnix began his career in 1990 as an Investment Strategist within the Asset Management Department of Generale Bank, he subsequently held various positions as Fund Manager, Institutional Sales and as Head of Fund Engineering. In that capacity he was responsible for the maintenance and development of European fund ranges within Fortis Investments and later BNP Paribas Asset Management. He is C.E.O. and Managing Director of BNP Paribas Asset Management since 2014. Since 2014, Marnix is also a Board Member of BEAMA and has been elected President in June 2017.

BEAMA stands for “Belgian Asset Managers Association”, a non-profit association. The aim of “BEAMA VZW” is to represent the ‘Asset Management’ profession, to develop the ‘Asset Management’ activities in Belgium and to improve the image of this association and its members, without jeopardizing the autonomy of its members. ‘Asset Management’ covers, among other things, the promotion, management, distribution and administrative processing of collective investment
instruments as well as the institutional management, the management on behalf of private customers and investment advice.
