"Impact Investing: an attractive multi thematic strategy."
Impact investing has gained significant momentum over the last few years. Originally the preserve of institutional investors, impact investing is attracting the attention of an increasingly diverse mix of investors from all over the world. Through impact investments, investors aim to generate both a financial return and positive, measurable social and environmental impact. Is this concept too good to be true? Can capital be profitably redeployed to address problems such as social inequality and climate change? Is impact investing in listed equities just a fad or a trend? In this session, Investment Director Veronique Chapplow describes how M&G’s Impact team combines a sustainability-based approach with a dedicated impact framework to identify companies that can deliver profits with purpose. Véronique explains how this approach can be applied to construct an attractive multi thematic portfolio, that invests in impactful, listed companies worldwide and aims to beat global equity benchmarks over the long term.

The value of the fund’s assets will go down as well as up. This will cause the value of your investment to fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you originally invested.
